EPAN - Enlargement, Pre-Accession and Neighbourhood

CONCORD working group, convened by TRIALOG

The Working Group on Enlargement, Pre-Accession and Neighbourhood (EPAN), operates within the European NGO Confederation for Relief and Development (CONCORD) under the auspices of TRIALOG.

The Working Group's focus lies with countries in the EU's neighbourhood, covered by the European Neighbourhood Policy (ENP). It also works on issues that arise from the situation in the Western Balkans; countries the EU regards as potential candidates for EU membership.

The two EC instruments that the group works with are the European Neighbourhood and Partnership Instrument (ENPI), as well as the Instrument for Pre-Accession Assistance (IPA).

The group meets twice a year and has members from all over Europe, including old member states, new members states and EU candidate countries.
