Central Training 2005
14-15 March, 2005 - Bratislava
With a special focus on Platform Development, CONCORD Working Groups, Information sharing.
The Bratislava Central Training Seminar for NGDO Platforms of New Member States (NMS) focused on the following main topics:
- Developments in the platforms of new EU member states / in CONCORD/ in the EC
- Content of CONCORD Working Groups
- Information sharing/ multiplying information in the platform and in the national NGOs
The various Working Groups of the European NGDO confederation CONCORD are essential pools of expert knowledge and experience. But how can NGDOs from the New Member States know where and how to participate, and how best to share that knowledge back home? The Central Training Seminar also encouraged a structured exchange of experience and information between the national platforms in the NMS. There was some extra time to discuss the host country, Slovakia, where NGDOs have established better-than-average relations with their Ministry of Foreign Affairs and are actively involved in both overseas and development education projects, with support from the official SlovakAid programme.
